Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers

The first game in a classic trilogy of adventure games, which puts you in the shoes of Gabriel Knight. A somewhat poor writer from New Orleans. Together with Grace Nakimura he delves into a series of homicides, which will take him farther than he ever would imagine. The story also revolves around himself and his dark secrets.

Gabriel Knight 1 is your standard point and click game, with beautifully consepted backgrounds. Unlike many other point and click games (which plays on humor), GK 1 plays on a much more gothic theme. While still not a serious game in all its aspect, the humor as well is very dark and ironic. The first thing that strikes you with this game is the incredible amount of things you can investigate. Seemingly everything is clickable, and listening to Gabriel (Tim Curry!) ponder over these things is a joy.

Being one of the most original point and click games pre 95, this is a much play for all those who enjoy this genre.
