I actually never managed to get this game to work, even though I owned the CD version and at the time was running the perfect machine - Windows 95, Celeron... Which is actually really bloody disappointing. I've always believed that if they put that much effort into making the voice acting good and the original creator of the world also lent a hand, then it HAD to be an excellent game.
In fact, after reading your excellent review Nik, it's made me want to try again. Now I wonder where that CD is... ~.~
(Also, just to be 'editor' for a second - in the first line of your review, "an unique" should be changed to "a unique" - it's one of those words that doesn't follow the 'an before a vowel' rule)

I have contacted the SCEE (Sony's smth smth) which are the current copyright holders of Discworld. I will wait and see if they can reply me and supply us with a download link! Let's cross our fingers!

I played the demo of this game when it first came out. I was younger, so this didn't help I'm sure. I didn't like it. I think that's because I was never a big fan of Terry Pratchet's books. They were all the rage when I was a kid, but I never really liked them.

I always was a big fan of Pratchett's work, so I'm rather fond of this game, even though I haven't played it in a while. And last time I tried it didn't work. (Never had the game. Only played it.)
It's not up there with the books, obviously, but it's still fantastic.
