3d Realms, otherwise known as Apogee back in the day, is shutting down. If the site is still up as of this writing you can see the goodbye message here: http://www.3drealms.com/
Shame, I have alot of memories playing old Apogee games. :(

It looks good, however from what i can see graphicaly it cant hold up to some of the newer games that have and will hit the FPS library.Im no graphics freak in no way, but its what the game industry feeds on these days and if im not wrong thats also the reason DN have had a hard time hitting the shelves earlier.
In the very least, someone might se a potential in the future years and buy the license to make a great game. Or atleast something fanmade ffs, anything.

Well I could really care less about Duke Nukem, everything after DN 2 was crap in my opinion.
I just hate to see the company go under.

Update: 3d realms states that they arent down after all. Although they are giving up DNF, because Take-two is suing them for not delivering a game earlier.3d realms is now trying to sell the DN franchise as a co-developer....to make yet a NEW game, while take-two will safeguard the source code fro DNF (most likley).

When it comes out and it isn't worth the wait, what will you DN fanboys do, I wonder? Commit mass suicide? Picket T2/ Apogee? write mean notes on the web about their designer's lineage?
