I figured, you know since the site is coming down we might as well make the most of it instead of moping around. Grin

Anyone heard of Dream Theater? I've really been getting into their music lately, I love how technical the Music is, its fantastic! I'm just really into prog right now!

I like Symphony X too. I have not listened to Metallica in over a year! Haha.

Don't get me wrong, i worship progressive music, but get METAL OUF OF MY PROG ! So,basicly,i hate this band...It's just a marathon of a infinite show-off competition and dull songs. Stay away from this band folks. Listen to Camel instead.

Suit yourself man, I love it. They have amazing talent, and they have nice mix of slow and fast songs. If you keep listening chances are you will hear something you like. Symphony X is another of of my favorite bands.

I like Prog, and Rock. Two great types of music that taste even better together! Grin j/k

Here is some Symphony X(if you never have heard of them before):

Hmm...What Progressive bands so you like then?

Kansas really started my love for progressive music, and that time I got invited up on stage at their concert was epic.

Haha Yeah the "usual stuff".

I've actually heard of a few of those, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and King Crimson. I'm a bit lost on the rest.

As silly as it sounds, some of Frank Zappa's stuff is kinda cool too.

King Crimson? The only "King" I'd go with is King Diamond......

As for Dream Theatre, they've always reminded me a bit of Iron Maiden for some reason.... probably the whole "storytelling in my metal" vibe.... however, I actually LIKE Maiden, which I can't say for Dream Theatre. "through the fire and flames" wasnt a bad song though
