Movie Remakes
So, i shuddered as i read that my beloved Commando (the greatest movie ever made) is going to be re-made, most likely into a PG-13 affair. Which begs the question, what are the most pointless remakes in the last 20 years?

Commando?! PG-13?! You can't do Commando with a PG-13 rating!
Let's see.... I would say Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory really didn't need to be remade, you can't beat Gene Wilder.

I really feel it was unnessecery to remake A Nightmare On Elm Street. I felt this was close to Blasphemy....

Star Trek. That was terrible.
I agree with the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Johnny Depp was whack in that movie. Gene Wilder just did such a great job in the original.

I actually quite liked the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate factory.... although I do love the original...

99% of remakes suck. That's it.

Nightmare on elm street without robert englund= FAIL.
Does Alice in Wonderland count? While I like Tim Burton in general, the new AIW was a disappointment. Even my childhood favorite, the Cheshire Cat, couldn't save it.

I still haven't seen AIW, some people have said it's fantastic while others have said not so good....

the re-make of Dune wasn't too bad.
